Colin has over 25 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry. This includes 13 years working in two large regional law firms where he was instrumental in setting up their in-house financial services departments. His client base covers the retirement and financial planning needs of corporate and private clients drawn from a diverse range of industries including farming, law and owner managed businesses. Colin has particular specialism in self-administered pensions, holistic financial planning and inheritance tax mitigation.
In his spare time Colin enjoys golf, shooting and walking with his dogs.×
Guy is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. He specialises in pensions and personal tax planning, and holds advanced qualifications in pensions, trusts, personal tax and investments. Guy started his career in financial planning in 2012 working with Chase de Vere. Prior to this Guy honed his people skills and business acumen, working as a Business Development Manager for AXA Wealth. Away from work Guy chairs the learning and finance committees of the governing board at a local primary school, which seven year old twins boys Ethan and Dexter, attend. Daughter, Skye, aged three-going-on-18, keeps the whole family entertained. He is married to Amy, a make-up artist and lives in Hanham, near Bristol.×
Ian started his career in financial services in 2006 as a trainee planner working across all areas of the business. Ian is now a Chartered Financial Planner combining over 9 years of industry experience with a high level of technical expertise to provide tailored financial planning advice to both individuals and small businesses throughout the UK.
Ian is qualified as a Pension Transfer Specialist providing advanced pension planning solutions to private clients. He also has experience in the Defined Benefit pension market helping Employers and Trustees implement medium to long-term strategies to mitigate scheme liabilities.×
Nick has over 31 years’ experience in the industry, having joined Clerical Medical as a Senior Sales Consultant in 1985. More recently, Nick worked as a Financial Planning Director at Ashcourt Rowan, before joining WK Financial Planning in 2016.
As a Chartered Financial Planner, Nick advises a wide range of clients with a particular focus on retirement and inheritance tax planning. By getting to understand a client’s objectives and working with them over time, Nick can develop and refine a strategy that helps them to achieve their financial and personal goals.×
Dean joined the business in 2017, following a period of time managing financial planning businesses. A Chartered and Certified Financial Planner with over 25 years of extensive experience in providing financial planning advice to HNW private clients, companies and trusts. Dean has a particular specialism in retirement and estate planning and enjoys helping clients achieve their life objectives. Dean lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and their 10 year old son who is football mad. Dean coaches his sons football team at weekends, is a keen Liverpool FC supporter and occasionally plays golf very badly. Outside of work/sport he spends time with his family and friends.×
Colin’s career started back in 1986 in the Banking sector with NatWest, where he developed an interest in the Financial Services industry, initially as a mortgage adviser in 1993 then became a qualified Independent Financial Adviser in 1996.
Colin has gained valuable experience in the life, pension and investment markets during the last 20 years, working with professional connections and developing relationships with their individual and corporate clients.×
Duncan leads the Wealth Management team. His career in Financial Services spans over 25 years, starting with Hill Samuel and then Grosvenor Wood, a high net worth private client practice based in London. Duncan is now based in Bath and lives with his wife and two children.×
Carlton is a Chartered Banker with 30 years’ experience in financial services. Carlton’s early career was spent working for insurance companies where he gained experience in product design, marketing and sales. In 2003 he was invited to became an owner of IFS Group a firm of independent financial advisers which was sold to a large national firm listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2008.
Carlton aims to deliver a service with genuine understanding and offers financial planning solutions that are tailored to clients’ individual needs and requirements delivered in an easy to understand manner.×
Steve has over 17 years experience in Financial Services and has been advising clients for over 13 years. During those years he has worked within a firm of accountants, for a large high street bank and also a major UK insurance company.
Steve provides advice mainly to private clients but also works closely with corporate clients and runs financial education workshops to employees on a range of topics.×
Simon has over 24 years of experience working in financial services and has previously worked for Lloyds Private Banking, Prudential Private Financial Planning and Natwest Financial Services. His experience working within these organisations has provided the opportunity to work closely with private clients and corporate entities to assist them with their own wealth management and financial planning needs.
Simon attained Chartered Financial Planner status in 2013 and joined WK Financial Planning in June 2015.×
